Tuxedo-Inspired Hairbands

As we welcome 2010 in our lives we saw new fashion trends for this year and I'm always ready for trying something festive to do it up.

Take a cue from Cary Grant and other black-tie guys and tip your hat to a tuxedoed look. These ideas combines vintage style and a bit of modern flair, and their just begging to be worn by you. :)

Men's Opinion on Make Up

A recent study about make up concluded that men don't like lots of makeup on a girl's face. On the list are Lipstick on the teeth, too much blush, (looks like a clown) thick foundation and "panda eyes" whatever that means.

And, one out of five men would prefer to tone down their (minute per minute) applications, and one in 10 prefer no makeup at all as in bare skin.

The results aren't convincing enough, especially most guys have no idea how much makeup a "no makeup" look can require. But does it count, anyway?

Makeup is a personal choice for us, and however much or little you wear in your personal life is really all up to you. I've asked few of my guy friends what they think about this makeup issue; some of them wants more makeup, wear less, cut your hair like this and that, grow your hair, on and on - while I'm open to feedbacks, a guy's opinion may help but it won't dictate my grooming choices.

how do you handle it when a man gives his thoughts on your appearance?

Make a Better Google Search Results

Google is really smart on giving your search results. You might want to take this tip, which I recently read at Real Simple

How?

Use a hyphen before the words that you don't want to be included on your search results. Say you want to find information about Ravens -- the actual bird, not the football team from Baltimore. So enter "ravens -football -Baltimore." The result will omit those including football.

Smart eh? The hyphen acts as a minus sign so Google knows to exclude those phrases or words. The same logic applies with a plus sign, so if you're looking at super specific result like title of a song that is right on the tip of your tounge, use the plus sign in between search terms to narrow down your search result.

Effective (yet simple) Way to Beat Dry Skin

Cold season brings us dry skin. (how nice!) You know that using an exfoliating body scrub could reveal a softer skin. But here is a trick: a big difference may happen if you use a different method.

Salt scrub or sugar scrub will do the job, (as usual product) you'll get better result if you use it when your skin is DRY, not wet. So strip down and use the body scrub before you get in the shower. Rub it all over you body to strip off the rough skin. Rinse it off in the shower and feel how smooth and soft you skin is. Afterwards, pat your skin with dry towel and lotion up.

Goodbye dry skin! :)

Does Your Dating Requirements Changed?

Our taste in men (or women) change as we grow old. We may find ourselves becoming too picky about who we spend our time dating, opting only for people who have stable lives and their hearts in the right places.

But in time we realize and let some of requirements go like you want a 6'1 height requirement you had in college, for a witty and funny shorty. So if a man had to be tall, handsome, and popular when we were young, maybe he has to be smart, sweet, successful as we get older.

So.. How have your dating requirements changed? :)

Taryn Rose Shoe Design

Dr. Rose is an orthopedic surgeon whom suffered also the damage that high heels that caused for her patients. Being a fan of heels herself, she left the long shift at the hospital and search for shoes that won't hurt. She started a different career - shoe designer. :)

In 1998, Taryn Rose launched her own luxury shoes. The idea was to create shoes that felt good andlooks good plus the good quality that is made in the finest materials in Italy.

Here's my story:

Christmas days are over and school days are near so I badly need a new pair of flat shoes. I've been through the internet what brand of shoes is a good buy.

My mom and I went to a mall to look and buy a new pair of shoes. I'm looking for a shoes that ensures comfort and flexibility. We went to different stores but still I can't find the shoes that I want to wear.

We went to Department store and taaaaaduuummm!

BOCALO! :)

I don't know what BOCALO means but I've been hearing lots of good feedbacks with BOCALO. Although it's a bit pricey, it has good quality at the same time.

I've fallen in love with their designs; simple yet elegant.

what else? it suits my taste. It's exactly what I'm looking for. A flower toe cap shoes; Taryn Rose Shoe Design

Might buy Taryn Rose shoe design...someday. ;)
